The first thing we’re going to do is to check out the riff that I played at the beginning, this is a really cool riff. It’s based on a pentatonic scale; it has some notes on the blue scales, in between which is super easy to play.
Starting on the fourth fret of the fifth string, and you’re going to hover on into the sixth fret of the fifth string, slowly. Right after we’re going to the fourth fret of the fourth string, sixth fret of the fourth string, and then do a slide up from the seventh, trip to the eighth fret of the fourth string, then you come back to the fourth fret.
On this part we’re going to go into a sixth fret pull off into the fourth and finally sixth fret of the fifth string. I will suggest dividing this in two parts and playing it slower first of course — The first part is thing that’s the first part and the second part that’s the single parcel in the second part. Try to play these two little parts and keep practicing right, as you can see I’m only using two fingers I’m using the index and the ring finger, this arpeggio is built on an E flat minor seven chord and it’s built on the E minor E flat minor pentatonic scale and you can transpose this to different places. For example I don’t know if you would want to play this in a sixth string but you can do the same thing; start here if you want to play it on the G minor.
Just grab the G on the third fret, but anyway that’s for that riff before the beginning then the song goes into a few chords. We’re going to start with an E flat minor seven, you’re going to place your index finger on the 6th fret all across the strings, then you’re going to grab your ring finger on the 4th fret and ring finger on the 4th string 8th fret, middle finger on the 7th fret of the 2nd string.
Then you’re going into an f-sharp major for the official major you’re going to place your index finger on the second fret and then bring your ring finger on the fourth fret of this fifth string, pinky finger on the 4th fret of the fourth string, and middle finger on the 3rd fret of the third string, and by the way you can tone this on an acoustic guitar, it’s going to sound really cool.
From there you’re going to move up two frets and remove the middle finger which makes it into a G Marsh G sharp minor, play that again back into the first chord and check if you’re moving it up a fret and your index on that seventh fret, and then you’re going to bring down your ring on the ninth of the fourth meter on the eighth fret of the 3rd, and pinky on the ninth fret of the second. What you can do for the rhythm is you can just go down, down, down, up, down, down, and you can put some muted notes.
We’re going into a B major seven, seventh fret of the sixth string, 8th fret of the fourth string, 8th fret of the 3rd string, 7th fret of the 2nd string, then you’re going to a B flat 7, for that you’ve got the index on the 6th fret, and then the ring on the 8th middle on the 7 of the 3rd, and then back to the first one and towards the end. Then keeping the index right there, you just move your fingers away and just bring down the ring into the eighth fret of the fifth string, and then you go back to this F sharp major and then you’re going to bring this G diminished. For that G diminished you’re going to put your middle finger on the 3rd fret of the six, and keep the index on the 2nd fret of the third and second, and bring down the ring finger to the 3rd fret of the 3rd and then do this one.
